The art of translating a garment you see to a pattern is a simple learned skill. Whether you start with a photo, a favorite garment, in the dressing room, Pinterest, or other, the general process is similar. Let Susan Lazear show you the steps for the various approaches which involve, analysis, proportions, and details translation. Learn how to build a schematic, and then the best way to get the image to a pattern with Garment Designer, or through altering an existing sewing pattern.
