Welcome to the first in a series of Designalongs with Cochenille.

Want to push your creative skills to the next level? Why not step into a mixed media project by combining fabrics or fabrics with yarn? A pattern template will be provided, but a Garment Designer demonstration will also be given for software users.

The silhouette of choice will be a square armhole design, the length is your choice. This style lends lots of design potential for creativity. Add a second fabric for the side panel or sleeves (if you desire). Add a collar, build a cowl, or other design addition to complete the look. A pattern template will be provided, but Garment Designer will be demonstrated and discussed as well for our software users.

If you are a knitter and want to incorporate fabric and don’t have a sewing machine, there are ways to hand-stitch your garment together. Various sewing techniques (hand or machine) will be shown.
