Thursday, Sept. 23rd, 1 p.m. PT
Let’s Make a Vest will feature the development of a vest, which we define as a sleeveless top to be worn over another garment. This is appropriate for both sewers and knitters. Topics will cover design considerations, fabric/yarn choice, appropriate styles in Garment Designer, the sequence of steps in building the pattern and the option of darts. You will also learn how to add the additional pattern parts such as a collar, front extension, facings or bands, and pockets. Design and construction tips will be included as well as inspirational ideas. The goal is that you will understand the process so you can create your own unique vest pattern with success.
